The Journey continues Just as you must have thought I had quit Jotting down my alphabets.
J*: (aka Mom). From Mom I have gotten my love of cooking, my enjoyment of showing hospitality, my attention to detail and my list making. We have a great time together; it could be a day of shopping or a road trip to Natchez. She’s willing to try just about anything new.
Jewelry: I like doing beading and wire wrapping. It’s a relatively new hobby for me. On my travels I have been collecting beads that appeal to me and various fun things to wire wrap like sea glass and cool pebbles.
J*: Also known as BIL (Brother-in-Law). Three years ago we got a new family member when Sis married. It’s been good getting to know him. He’s a great grill master (love those pork steaks!!) and has a fun sense of humor. I really enjoy watching him interact with the babies.
Jerky: Yes, I am a carnivore and I love a good piece of jerky! So does Himself and BIL.
James Herriot: One of my favorite writers as a child, I still enjoy his story-telling. Reading one of his books is like sitting in the yard visiting with an old and witty friend.
Jeep: I have wanted a jeep from the time I could drive. Midnight blue with charcoal and indigo stripes. You’d see them as the light shifts. Cloth seats in a Navajo print. Soft top with the hard body doors. Yep… that would work just fine…
Jacques Cousteau: “The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau” took my child mind to places I couldn’t have even have imagined. In high school I joined the Cousteau Society and to this day I am a member. I also am a member of his son’s organization.
Jazz: Memphis, New Orleans, Chicago, Harlem or Kansas City. Love them all.
Journey: “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” -- Mark Twain
Jesus: There are no words to express what I feel. So personal, yet so public.
Great minds think alike...I've been mulling over the same Mark Twain quote lately!
