We have a pair that are nesting around our home.  Mister showed up first and we quickly found what a jerk of a bird he is...

The photo is take from the window Persia sits in.  Until Missus arrived, he would harass the cat all day long ~ even flying into the window banging his wings.  Persia really hates that bird.

Now he attacks the other birds.  He almost killed a tiny gnatcatcher.  Himself had to intervene so the little one could get to cover.  We basically don't have small birds in our yard now.  Except for the hummingbirds.  He's gone after them but they are like, "Is that the best you can do?  You fly like a buzzard!"

Personally, I wish they would LEAVE!! 

Karaage

 Hey... I cooked again tonight!  Amazing I know.  I had leftover pork tenderloin from last night that needed to be cooked.  And there was a recipe posted on a Japanese cooking FB group that used pork (it is usually done with chicken thighs).  It's a marinated deep fried yummy called Karaage.

 Another keeper recipe.  I very rarely deep fry so I have to up my skill set!

The recipe says 'chicken' but basically you can go with anything you've got.  I bet steak would be amazing...  For the dipping sauce I used "Yum Yum Sauce" which can be found at Walmart.

Review: Music City Gyros in Clarksville, TN (Sango area)

 

One of our new favorite restaurants is a food truck.  Music City Gyros is a Nashville 'chain' that is spreading into neighboring cities.  Here in Clarksville it is located in the Food Lion parking lot (across from Walmart) at the intersection of Hwy 76 and Hwy 41A.

The gyro meat is perfect.

I usually get the gyro platter.

Himself goes for the chicken salad.

I've tried the veggie platter too.

For dessert - baklava.  It is not swimming in honey so it is perfectly crunchy.

One day we decided for our movie night to have pita and hummus.  The pita bread soaks up the smokiness from the gyro grill.  It is AMAZING!! 

The meals are at the $10 mark and it is enough for 2 meals. 

Give it a try!  You won't regret it.

Review: Stouffer's Rigatoni with Chicken & Pesto

 This quick freezer meal was quite tasty and quick to make.  

I won't be having it again tho as my pesto in the freezer is much better.  Doesn't take much time to whip this up to have better and more.
