One bright morning Himself and I decided to take a walk along the old rail bed. While there was a fairly heavy frost up at the house, down closer to the river it wasn’t so frosty. It was delicate and fragile looking.
Leaf edges were crowned with icy diamonds.
While some leaves were softly covered as tho in sugar.
Wooly mullein wore a wooly crystal robe.
A spider web was transformed into the most delicate lace ever.
And foxtail became a frozen plume.
In a few quiet, shady places frost flowers bloomed until the sun slowly dissolved them until then next night.
