See that shelf below where the arrow is pointing? That is what it is supposed to look like.
But Himself forgot to close the shed door for a couple days and when he came out to close it our cheeky little wren came rocketing out -- and then right back in.
He started checking around and found the nest of that saucy little girl.
A nest with four eggs...
Well, that took care of that. The shed door was going to stay up until those babies left.
Only problem was our upcoming trip to MO and MN. Would they fledge before we left?
A couple weeks later and there were four hungry youngsters.
And we had to leave in a little over 2 weeks!
10 day check.
A nest full of tiny feathers. Isn't it cute how three are hiding their faces and that one is staring right at me?
A few days later; an empty nest!
We moved the nest and slammed the door quite relieved. We were going to leave it mostly open and have our neighbor close it for us after they left.
Thankfully it didn't come to that.
