Six Candles for Gone Walkabout

 

Wow… I posted my first blog 6 years ago; and did only 17 posts in that first year.  At that time I really didn’t understand much about blogs or blogging.  I wanted a way to share photos and stories with my family and friends. 

Gradually I started reading other people’s blogs, learning about blogging as time passed.  I have to admit, I was surprised when I started getting comments and shocked when followers started happening! 

A while back I gave some thought as to just why I like to blog.  I came up with several reasons.  I blog because I enjoy sharing my world and I enjoy the processing of writing.  I write when I want and about things that interest me.  I don’t want the pressure of blogging for income and you’ll never see an ad on my blog if there is anything I can do about it!  Occasionally I will write an unsolicited review of something/somewhere that I either loved or hated. 

I enjoy being part of the blogging world, both as participant and recipient!
