Travel Trinkets: Tea Cups from Russia

These beautiful -- and large -- tea cups came home with me from Chelyabinsk, Russia in 1994.  I stayed about a week with one of the families (Ivan & Olga Gyunter) we sponsored for several years (I was in Russia as a representative of a non-profit organization called "Family To Family".

At least twice a day Olga and I would share a cup of hot tea, my first cup came moments after I stepped into their home.

"Chai?"

"Da, spasibo!"

As I packed to go home, Olga brought me these two beautiful cup and saucers "to remember" them by.  It's my dream to someday share another cup of tea with Olga.
